When you’re looking for a place to travel on an special ocasion, it can be hard to choose one, so I made a list of 10 places I believe to be the most romantic places on Earth.
It’s a South Asian island country, located in the Indian Ocean, situated in the Arabian/ Sea. It lies southwest of India and Sri Lanka.
Because of its beauty, the place is known for this hotel that hosts many romantic visits all year.
Visitors to the Maldives do not need to apply for a visa pre-arrival, regardless of their country of origin, provided they have a valid passport, proof of onward travel, and the money to be self-sufficient while in the country.
Most visitors arrive at Malé International Airport, on Hulhulé Island, adjacent to the capital Malé. The airport is served by flights to and from India, Sri Lanka, Doha, Dubai, Singapore, Istanbul, and major airports in South-East Asia, as well as charters from Europe. Gan Airport, on the southern atoll of Addu, also serves an international flight to Milan several times a week. British Airways offers direct flights to the Maldives around 2–3 times per week.
Known as the most romantic place on earth, it’s the main destiny for lovers around the world.
The city is also a major air-transport hub served by two international airports: Paris-Charles de Gaulle (the second busiest airport in Europe and Paris-Orly.
Paris has many important cultural institutions: its Louvre museum is the most visited in the world; its Musée d’Orsay is noted for its collection of French Impressionist art, and its Pompidou-center Musée National d’Art Moderne has the largest collection of modern and contemporary art in Europe. The central area of the city along the Seine River is classified as a UNESCO Heritage Site and includes many notable monuments, including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sainte-Chapelle, the former Universal Exposition Grand Palais, Petit Palais and Eiffel Tower, and the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre.
There are a few places I love, that aren’t really told by most people. I made a post about them and you can read them here.
In 2015, Paris received 22.2 million visitors, making it one of the world’s top tourist destinations.
Bora Bora is a major international tourist destination, famous for its aqua-centric luxury resorts. The major settlement, Vaitape, is on the western side of the main island, opposite the main channel into the lagoon.
Hotel Bora Bora opened in 1961, and nine years later built the first over-the-water bungalows on stilts over the lagoon. Today, over-water bungalows are a standard feature of most Bora Bora resorts. The quality of those bungalows ranges from comparably cheap, basic accommodations to very luxurious and expensive places to stay.
Most of the tourist destinations are aqua-centric; however it is possible to visit attractions on land such as WWII cannons. Air Tahiti has five or six flights daily to the Bora Bora Airport on Motu Mute from Tahiti (as well as from other islands).
Public transport on the island is nonexistent. Rental cars and bicycles are the recommended methods of transport. There are also small, two-seater buggies for hire in Vaitape. It is possible to rent a motorboat to explore the lagoon.
Snorkeling and scuba diving in and around the lagoon of Bora Bora are popular activities. Many species of sharks and rays inhabit the surrounding body of water. There are a few dive operators on the island offering manta ray dives and also shark-feeding dives.
In addition to the existing islands of Bora Bora, the new manmade motu of Motu Marfo has been added in the northeastern corner of the lagoon on the property of the St. Regis Resort.
Punta Cana is a resort town within the Punta Cana-Bávaro-Veron-Macao municipal district, in the municipality of Higüey, in La Altagracia Province, the easternmost province of the Dominican Republic. The area has beaches and balnearios which face both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and it has been a popular tourist destination.
I don’t really recommend this one… Even at the best hotel, I could stand only 6 days there (I was supposed to stay 2 weeks).
It’s at one of the Greec Islands and it’s the most famous one. I’m not sure if you can get there by plane, but I went by cruiseship.
I made a post about the place and you can see it here.
The white buildings and the ocean make a really beautiful scenario that attracts many couples every year. But it’s really hot most of the time and for some people it may destroy the romance…
Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world for its celebrated art and architecture. The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day (2007 estimate).
there are numerous attractions in Venice, such as St Mark’s Basilica, the Grand Canal, and the Piazza San Marco. The Lido di Venezia is also a popular international luxury destination, attracting thousands of actors, critics, celebrities, and mainly people in the cinematic industry.
However, Venice’s popularity as a major worldwide tourist destination has caused several problems, including the fact that the city can be very overcrowded often during the year. By allowing the cruise lines to dock their largest ships, there can be more than 20,000 tourists on certain days during the high season making St. Marks Square and other popular attractions too crowded to walk through.
It is regarded by some as a tourist trap, and by others as a “living museum”. Unlike most other places in Western Europe, and the world, Venice has become widely known for its element of elegant decay.
Mauritius is a major tourist destination, ranking 3rd in the region and 56th globally. It enjoys a tropical climate with clear warm sea waters, beaches, tropical fauna and flora complemented by a multi-ethnic and cultural population.
Mauritius received the World’s Leading Island Destination award for the third time and World’s Best Beach at the World Travel Awards in January 2012.
Issues often encountered by foreign tourists include scams, overcharging and dual pricing.
The harbour of Port Louis handles international trade as well as a cruise terminal. The sole international airport for civil aviation is Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, which also serves as the home operating base for the national airline Air Mauritius; the airport authority inaugurated a new passenger terminal in September 2013. Another airport is the Sir Gaëtan Duval Airport in Rodrigues.
Seychelles , officially the Republic of Seychelles, is an archipelago and country in the Indian Ocean. The 115-island country, whose capital is Victoria, lies 1,500 kilometres (932 mi) east of mainland East Africa.
The main way to get there is by plane, at the Seychelles International Airport.
Tourists enjoy the Seychelles’ coral beaches and opportunities for water sports. Wildlife in the archipelago is also a major attraction.
The main reason I put this in here is because of the Miracle Garden. It’s absolutelly incredible and romantic (I believe all gardens are, but this is my favorite). For example, there’s this line of arches made in the form of hearts.
There’s also an Emirates Airplane made entirely of flowers!
The city is absolutely beautiful and really resembles me of Europe.
Visitors have many options such as going to a tango show, an estancia in the Province of Buenos Aires, or enjoying the traditional asado. New tourist circuits have recently evolved, devoted to famous Argentines such as Carlos Gardel, Eva Perón or Jorge Luis Borges. Before 2011, due to the favourable exchange rate, its shopping centres such as Alto Palermo, Paseo Alcorta, Patio Bullrich, Abasto de Buenos Aires and Galerías Pacífico were frequently visited by tourists. The exchange rate today has hampered tourism and shopping in particular. Notable consumer brands such as Tiffany & Co. have abandoned the country due to the exchange rate and import restrictions. The city also plays host to musical festivals, some of the largest of which are Quilmes Rock, Creamfields BA, Ultra Music Festival (Buenos Aires) and the Buenos Aires Jazz Festival.
The most popular tourist sites are found in the historic core of the city, in the Montserrat and San Telmo neighborhoods.
The Buenos Aires international airport, which goes by the official name of Ministro Pistarini International Airport, is located in the suburb of Ezeiza and is often called the “Ezeiza International Airport”. The Aeroparque Jorge Newbery airport, located in the Palermo district next to the riverbank, serves only domestic traffic and flights to Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
That’s it for today. Hope you enjoyed and, please, if you have any other ideas, tell me in the comments bellow.
